What We Do Here:

This review site focuses on free and affordable games ($0-$10) to give other gamers more games to play that won't kill your savings plan.

2 Reviews from 2 different gamers means you don't get single-sided opinions coming from someone you may or may not relate to. With our twin review layout, you get both sides of the story (game) so that you have a better idea if that game is one you want to try.

At DualReviewal, we are always on the lookout for free and affordable PC games that we can satiate our gaming desire without removing the ability to save for retirement (where we will be able to play games longer without pesky work getting in the way).

Just remember to subscribe and come back to check out more reviews of free and affordable games. You might just find a few gems you otherwise wouldn't have known existed.

About the Reviewers:

We are a couple of geeks who love being recreational gamers. With over a dozen custom PC builds under our collective belt, we have been gaming together since college (back in the 2002) when we discovered our mutual geekness while living on the same floor of our dorm. While our handles and tastes in games have changed over the years, our love of games that are worth their price have not.

About Me:

Growing up, my family had a Packard Bell DOS based computer with those awesome DOS games. My dad even wrote his own game in basic that taught me and my brother the state capitals.

When I was 4, we got a Nintendo and I was introduced to the Action RPG known as The Legend of Zelda. But it wasn't until SNES' A Link to the Past that my benchmark for quality (storyline, creativity, graphics and replayability) was set. I've beaten that game at least 6 times over the course of my life, and it's always a thrill.

TFC (Team Fortress Classic) was THE game that got me into real gaming. Introduced to me my first year of college, TFC changed my life. Setting up turrets and EMP jumping were two of my favorite show-boaty pastimes, once I got serious enough to transcend my initial n00bness.

I play a lot of FPSs (First Person Shooters), mostly because it usually doesn't matter how many friends are playing and the time commitment for a single game  is low. When I have the time (usually only at LAN parties), I like playing RTSs (Real Time Strategies) with my buddies, as long as we don't play against each other (those rounds tend to last for hours because we are all so evenly matched). I've dabbled in MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) like EverQuest2, but I prefer the offline single player counterpart. Being a completionist, I love completing every quest and acquiring every achievement.

So, I have to admit something here: I cheat! But only on single player games, NEVER on multiplayer. I would rather give up that rewarding feeling of beating a game properly to gain full completion in a timely manner. So again, I often cheat on single player games, never on multiplayer games.

About Me:

My first PC gaming experience was on an old Goldstar (yup) 386 era computer with a faulty tape based 8MB hard-drive. It did have one redeeming aspect that allows me to even remember those details today. It played the original Test Drive from Accolade. A truly involving racing "sim" that showed me why you have to slow down in racing games.

That is indeed my original copy.
From there our family got a Intel P90 along with Lucas Arts Rebel Assault. My fondest memory of that is me occupying my family's dining room, lights off, SoundBlasted speakers cranked, and joystick in hand with my supportive father standing behind me.

After those games I was hooked, and soon found my comfort zone in FPS and RTS but in different environments. I love competing against friends in FPS games and loath playing those same friends in RTS rounds. The amount of attention and energy I put into my PvP RTS rounds is truly exhausting but rewarding when I do compete and some of my most epic gaming moments is from those games, which if my friend from Arizona would understand assuming he ever reads this page.
